I don't know what it is about Maximum Overdrive. Maybe it's the killer trucks, maybe it's the AC/DC music, maybe it's the fact that Emilio Estevez looks dead fucking sexy. Stephen King claims that he was so high on coke making this movie that he barely remembers a thing. This does seem like a movie that someone on coke would make.
This movie is such a guilty pleasure. It's pretty cheesy and come on, killer trucks? They've even got the midget from Poltergeist in this flick. But that scene where they look back over the highway to see the big line of trucks gets me every damn time.
